One last paddle before heading out.
We made it to Baxter State Park and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.

To get a good view of Mount Katahdin you actually have to go outside the park. Here we are on a bridge crossing the Lower West Branch of the Penobscot River looking north at the Katahdin range 5 miles away. Baxter peak sits at 5,262 feet above sea level, making it the highest point in all of Maine.
Bones: Their clean, their clean! And they smell good too.
After spending 10 days at the lake it was definitely time to do laundry.
Tonight we’re camping at the KOA in Houlton Maine we’re just a few miles from the U.S. and Canadian border. This KOA has Glamping sites. They remind me of the Glamping sites at the Buffalo Lodge in Colorado Springs.
