SRT25 - Day 24
Summer 2025 Road Trip
Tuesday, April 29, 2025
The storm that we have been watching rolled in around 4 am this morning. The thunder and lightning were really impressive. We had several lightning strikes within a mile of our campsite. And most of us were taking our time this morning.
Except for Dan and Andrew who were chomping at the bit to get into the water. Andrew had a 6 hour drive ahead of him and wanted to leave before noon. Buffalo Point to Rush is about 7 and a half miles. And will work with Andrew’s schedule. Since I was not in a hurry and I’ve already done this section I helped them with shuttling vehicles.
They had a good time and didn’t get too wet. Andrew is in the process of training his dog Harry how to travel in a canoe. I think Harry is going to make a good canoeing dog.
Being a rainy day it only makes sense that Bones and I set up our hammock under one of the pavilions. We spent the rest of the day lounging, reading and napping.
