SRT25 - Day 108
Summer 2025 Road Trip
Tuesday, July 22, 2025
After a late start, Bones and I went for our morning paddle and saw several Loons. We have been hearing Loons since we got here and it was nice to finally see them.
For the rest of the day, the clouds slowly drifted away giving us a beautiful clear view of the sky. Which means that we just have to go for a night paddle. Around 9 PM we got back in the canoe and headed out to get some pictures of the stars.
These two pictures are taken one after the other. The top one has the Christmas lights on and the lower one has them off.
On the right side of both photos you can see the constellation of Scorpio. It kind of looks like the letter T leaning over.

The long string of what looks like clouds stretching from the horizon to over Bones’s head are not clouds, it’s actually part of the Milky Way galaxy. And that’s always cool to see.

Tonight was a good night to go paddling and look at the stars.
