Today is a rest day and that means we have work to do.
Bones: I found the M&M’s. I think we need another bag or two of M&M’s to take with us on the river.
First, we went through our gear and found out what needed to be washed. Then, what needed to be repaired, luckily nothing needed to be repaired. Then, came food and supplies. I think we’re good with almost everything. My food supply is finally coming down to a manageable level. I’ve been carrying way too much food. But, I still want to pick up some more drinks. I’d rather have too many drinks, than not enough. Especially in this heat.
Speaking of food. The “The Camp” restaurant next door has some award winning BBQ. So, I had to stop by and try their pulled pork. It was very good and I ate everything.
That evening River Angel Colin came by and we went out for pizza at the Natchez Brewery company.
After dinner, Colin took me on a sightseeing tour of Natchez. The Antebellum houses are amazing. This one is called Stanton Hall and was built in the 1850’s and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1974.
Thank you Colin for a great dinner and an amazing tour of Natchez Mississippi.
